The proposed marketplace is conceived as a multifunctional community hub that facilitates local commerce, social interaction, and urban agriculture. The development provides a flexible marketplace where residents can trade locally grown produce, creating opportunities for economic participation while strengthening the local food ecosystem. Responding to the site's existing pond, the design introduces a sunken public plaza that functions as a vibrant gathering space, encouraging community engagement and placemaking. A series of pedestrian promenades and landscaped waterfront edges establish a continuous relationship with the oasis, allowing residents to experience the water through recreational walking routes and passive interaction with the landscape. Productive gardens integrated within the rear yards of the residential units further promote self-sufficiency, community farming, and a seamless transition between private domestic spaces and the shared public realm.
